Climbing the Kilimanjaro

During the last month you’ve managed to climb on top of your boss’ expectations. How about climbing to the top of the Kilimanjaro in the next month? Let’s heat things up and head on to Tanzania, Africa. The Republic of Tanzania rests in central East Africa, to the shore of the Indian Ocean. Beautiful parks, white sandy beaches, and luxury accommodations – all make Tanzania the hottest place to be in for an adventure traveler. Elephants, lions, giraffes, hippos, you name it – they’ve got it. We know that the Bronx Zoo is lovely, but did you ever dreamed of witnessing a high speed chase between a lion and gazelle?

If extreme is in your blood, you should defiantly try climbing the Kilimanjaro, the tallest freestanding mountain in the world. There is nothing quite like standing atop of what is affectionately known as The Roof of Africa. Climbing the Kilimanjaro usually takes about a week. You should hook up with a local guide and head through lush forests straight into the mountain. Get ready to climb up to 15,000 feet per day, a climb which will lead you through the infamous Lava Towers and other magnificent views. You will pass through seven different ecosystems, ranging from rain forest to wide open scree fields, before reaching the icy snow-capped glacier at the summit. But beware! No sunrise will ever move you as the sunrise you will experience from the summit of the Kilimanjaro.


After so much work you sure deserve a good rest. Head on to Zanzibar, a magnificent town which will offer you secluded beaches and amazing scuba diving experience.
