Packing for a Colorado Ski Vacation

It's about that time of year again! In Arizona the temperatures were 107 yesterday and the summer commuters are getting ready to head out for either a ski vacation or tropical relaxation. With trips out of state, especially Colorado ski vacations, it's time to think about what's next when it comes to taking a vacation.

Last week we discussed a few tips on how to take a boring ski vacation and turn it to an adventure travel experience. But once yo've made the decision to take your Colorado ski vacation to the next level, what should you pack? The first thing to pack is definitely your ski gear. When hitting the slopes its important to layer so that as you warm up your can slowly shed pieces of clothing. When layering consider a turtlenecks, socks, sweater, water repellent pant, and wool.

Next thing is your accessories our outer must-haves. These little accessories can go along way especially if participating in adventure travel. Outer must-haves include hats, gloves, sunglasses, google, ski parkas, boots, poles, etc. Lastly, after all the excitement its good to relax a little. Definitely pack jeans, sweaters, shirts and coats so you can relax after an exciting day by the fire with friends, your ski coaches and some hot chocolate.
